Now is the perfect time to start using those PTO days, and here's the perfect place to add to your summer bucket list—Province, France. Each year, beautiful lavender fields begin to bloom with all over France. But none of the other regions can compare to the experience of being in Province when the flowers bloom.

Luckily, the flowers have not bloomed yet, but there isn't much time left for those of you that are determined to make this your next weekend getaway (because who isn't looking for a good excuse to go to France?!). The flowers are typically in bloom from late June through early August, according to TheLuberon.com.

In Province, this is more than a tradition: Every year there are festivities and an endless list of things to do and places to visit.

There is even a lavender museum—I'm not joking. The Le Musée de la Lavande is home to all things lavender, with areas to learn about the flower's history, growing and harvesting it, and even shop an array of products incorporating it. You'll also find a lavender field on their family farm that's mesmerizing to look at, and the aroma is sure to leave you feeling relaxed.

While in Province, you have to visit the many different lavender festivals that will be taking place. There's all kinds of food, live music, and plenty of souvenirs to buy (fresh lavender oil, perhaps?). You can find a list of the festivals here.
